When it comes to including structured running into your training, we’ve all heard of interval, threshold or fartlek training. Now, don’t get us wrong, these are all excellent options and clearly have their time and place in any training schedule.

However, the progression run – or ‘build’ as it’s also often called, has to be one of our favourites because of its simplicity! Whether you are a beginner starting out, or a seasoned elite, there is just so much to be gained from it.

So in this video Fraser is here to talk about the benefits of including it in your training and outline some of those varying examples so you can do a progression run yourselves.
